I am an award-winning director, writer and creative producer of hybrid work based in NYC, who was recently recognized with an OBIE award for lifetime achievement. I have constructed 37 works for the stage (15 original hybrid works, 9 opera-theatre and music-theatre works, 8 adaptations of novels & short stories and 5 classic plays). I am currently developing 3 opera-theatre works with Stefania de Kenessey/Annie Finch, Paul Pinto and Kamala Sankaram.

I am the Founding Artistic Director Emeritus of HERE, an award-winning progressive arts center in lower Manhattan where I cultivated artists and programs all events for over 30 years for two performance spaces for an annual audience of 30,000. I also co-founded and co-curated 13 editions of PROTOTYPE, a city-wide annual opera and music theatre festival.
